Yesterday:
Brian Eno-Small Craft on a Milk Sea. I knew it would be disappointing but bought it anyway. I could do without the noisy techno-freakout pieces, but there are some nice tracks here. Still, the Eno of 2010 is quite a different beast to his classic period.
Today:
Terje Rypdal-Chaser, To Be Continued, Eos. Incredible guitarist, great label (ECM).
"Half-Gifts": Tribute to Cocteau Twins-this was worth $4.99 for the several excellent tracks, although with most tribute albums by unknown bands there are always some pretty cheesy cover versions that sound like elevator muzak interpretations. But overall this one was quite tasty. I also liked the Dead Can Dance tribute on Projekt, with mostly very good cover versions.
