I remember seeing a video with Pete Townsend running an organ through an ARP.  I cant think of the track but I was surprised that that was how he got the sound.

I think it was "Won't Get Fooled Again"!

Things what has put me off:

- no standalone Version (the biggest joke!!!!)
- no import option of samples (wav, aiff)

Omnisphere has the same risk like Atmosphere...its very recognizable when you donīt radically change the presets. Just this fact put me off to buy quite a number of albums from several artists since they used Presets almost 1:1.....horror for me (LOL)

Alchemy is a good choice indeed and much more flexible because of wav import.

Cheers,
Tomas

Well for me its the price that puts me off and the fact that there doesn't seem to be demo for it.

I think I'm going to concentrate on really getting into the synths that I have - and maybe getting u-he's mighty ACE !

I agree Omnisphere is overpriced for software.
Especially when you consider what you get, say, in a Native Instruments deal.

Yes, ACE has a wonderful full-bodied sound. Its like cream.
Great oscillators and filters.
