Hello Martyn-

Sorry I've been slow to welcome you here. Life this past week has been frantic! It's always nice to see new people joining up and contributing!

Hi, thanks for having me (back)!

I have been a part-time lurker and many years ago posted a bit too. Then life got in the way of such things though I hope to be a but less absent now.

I earn a living as a sound designer for video games and not even close to a living dabbling in more ambient things, though loving it nonetheless. Wherever I can I try and cross pollinate between the two even if one is sightly more linear than the other.

In expressionist works I am most interested in emotive or instinctive area's where sound meets music and structure becomes organic. It is in the space where styles, techniques, harmonics and atmospheres contradict that something interesting happens.

Not for everyone I suppose but a great many artists, especially in ambient, do explore and succeed there.
