New effect, new sound, opinions
« on: September 18, 2017, 05:31:19 AM »
Starting new project, with some new/old gear, new Make noise 0-Coast, old analog four keyboard and moog minitaur, and couple of old/new stompboxes for guitar - new surprisingly good Zoom MS70-CDR and old beautiful Memory boy deluxe and Earthquaker devices Afterneath.

Opinions?  :D

Welcome to the forum!

Looks like you have a great setup, and the sound quality was great.

Stylistically, I wish there was more of a dream pop feel to the track but that's just me. I don't really care for the drum loops. I typically don't care for them in my ambient music at all. Tribal drumming would have been nice but it would have been impossible for you to do that and guitar by yourself on a live take like that.

How do you like your Minitaur? I've thought a little bit about getting one to use for ambient drones.

Minitaur is just everythiing you need for all kind of bass sound and its sound is so good in mix. I use it in this video with a bass guitar to fill the bottom end, but also you can use it alone. For the drones it's great when you put some good analog distorsion (just a little), and also great when you shape it with some stereo widener (stereo savage for me it's best). Thanks to your reply.

P.S. Moog Minitaur + afterneath ---- paradise!
