Two new full length albums are out now by Sound In Silence.

Yellow6 & David Newlyn – O.S.
Good Weather For An Airstrike – Lights

Press releases:

Yellow6 & David Newlyn – O.S.
Sound In Silence proudly presents the first full length collaborative effort between Yellow6 & David Newlyn.
About a year after their debut collaboration EP on Hibernate Recordings, called Miniatures, they are collaborating again producing a great full length ambient album, called O.S.
O.S. includes six deeply evocative long tracks, made of a mixture of guitars, keyboards, many effects and a lot of computer processed sounds.
Yellow6, the solo project of Jon Attwood, has at times been described as post-rock, space-rock, electronica, shoegaze and ambient.
Over the years, he has released over 50 releases on nearly as many labels across the globe, including Enraptured, Make Mine Music, Resonant, Distant Noise Records, Unlabel, Basses Frequences, Three:Four Records, Awkward Silence Recordings, Thisquietarmy Records and lately on his own label Editions6.
He has toured around Europe and North America and has worked for collaboration/split releases and remixes with many similar artists like Portal, Rothko, Landing, Avrocar, Thisquietarmy, Absent Without Leave, Amp, Tristeza, Charles Atlas, Port-Royal, Maps & Diagrams, Larkian, Caught In The Wake Forever, Stafrćnn Hákon, Konntinent, Winterlight and many others too.
David Newlyn is a Durham based ambient producer who has been releasing quality soundscapes for a few years now on labels such as Mobeer, Cotton Goods, Symbolic Interaction, Boltfish Recordings, U-Cover, Tokyo Droning, Time Released Sound and many others.
As well as recording music he also runs a small cdr label called Cathedral Transmissions, which was preceded by October Man Recordings.
This is a limited edition of 200 handmade and hand-numbered collectible copies, packaged in a lovely hand-stamped grey cardboard envelope with the front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper.

Good Weather For An Airstrike – Lights
Sound In Silence is very happy to welcome Good Weather For An Airstrike with his new album Lights.
Good Weather For An Airstrike is an ambient/post-rock project by Tom Honey from Winchester, Hampshire in the UK.
Taking the name from the Sigur Ros masterpiece Viđrar Vel Til Loftárása, Tom started the Good Weather For An Airstrike project in 2009 influenced by artists like Sigur Ros, Stars of the Lid, Eluvium and Hammock.
The idea of the project was to create a collection of relaxing sounds which would help Tom alleviate the issues caused by suffering from tinnitus, which causes a ringing sensation in the ear and can often result in difficulty sleeping.
He is also member of Damn Robot! and Sleepless Dreams and has previously released his Good Weather For An Airstrike albums & EP’s through Hibernate Recordings, Rural Colours, Bad Panda Records, Sonic Reverie and his own Hawk Moon Records.
Lights is Honey’s most accomplished work to date, demonstrating a progression in his talent and skill in composing.
Following on from last year’s well received Underneath The Stars album, Good Weather For An Airstrike has expanded his sound to create Lights, a blissful album combining processed guitars, dreamy strings, piano, synths, banjo, drums, lulling drones and subtle field recordings.
Lights is a substantial release full of wonderful soundscapes that mix perfectly ambient, electronic, post-rock and neo-classical sounds.
This is a limited edition cds of 200 handmade and hand-numbered collectible copies, packaged in a lovely hand-stamped dark brown cardboard envelope with the front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper.
