I wish I lived close to see him perform.  I enjoy his music and own several CDs.

Wow, the venue sounds amazing! Growing vines and invisible speakers nested in trees...This sounds like it is going to be a great show. Wish I were in Chicago for this one...

The real trick will be if I can drive up and see it... (I live about 3.5 hours south in central Illinois).    I'm already planning to be in Chicago the weekend before the Autechre show - so two trips to Chicago in one week... :(   We'll see!   I'm trying to arrange it.

So did anyone go to the show?  How was it?  If anyone has pictures they could post, that would rock!

John said that it was a great crowd and they recorded it.   He and James played for around 4 hours I think.

This is from 2008... wow.  It's like a time machine!  Based on HaywoodMarchal's email address I'm not sure if he's real or not... but, just in case he is - or if anyone else wants to know... No I'm not sure what AtmoWorks is doing these days (I stopped being a co-owner in 2009).  I know John / Vir Unis is working on a new ambient album - check his soundcloud:

https://soundcloud.com/johnstrate-hootman

"A Snowfall In the Woods" and "A Recognition Occurs".  You can also hear his very fun covers of 80's songs in a very Johnny Cash sorta way.
