And I'll tell you why (not gonna help my cause in selling it, but...):

This is a completely useless album of someone trying to copy Steve Roach's "The Magnificant Void" but failing miserably.  2 CD's of the same exact chords/drones that go nowhere and are not distinguishable from track to track.  The mastering is horrible (WAAAAY too loud, almost blew my speakers and didn't even have it at that high a volume).  The cover artwork and design is some boring stock photo of a murky ocean scene.  It is as "blah" as the music contained within.  I paid $25 for this.   

Any takers?

i do agree that Max is very, very much on the Roach side, true.
though i think he delivers a very balanced and fine album here.
occasionally i can relate some of his pieces directly to some Roach pieces clearly.

i had similar impressions with his 'BreathStream', formless synth's/drones that don't go anywhere but on TOI i think he achieves more.
anyway, different ears, different impressions.
i certainly do like this release.
