Sometimes it's a battle to get distribution.  Once achieved, it can be just as arduous to get paid
for the sales of those discs, or to get the returns from discs that were (criminally) ignored.

We received a few returns of discs today, 2 of which have been out-of-stock :

Koda - Movements CD (INFX 008)
Beautumn - White Coffee CD (INFX 011)

I have a few Koda and only 1 Beautumn.  I know there's been a bit of chatter here and there about the Beautumn, and I believe the
Koda would fit in well with the recent talk about guitar based ambience.

Both of these discs we are planning on repressing at some point this year, I just wanted to have the hypnos forum folks (HFF's)
the first crack at 'em before they're gone again.  And here they are : www.infractionrecords.com/shop.html

Thank you,

Jason

Indeed!

I ignored the grammar check in the subject too obviously.

Infraction does it again with Parks' "Umber" CD, just received this today and it won me over instantly. Like a lost Fax sublabel release meets Beautumn. Highly recommended!!

Just got my copy of Koda and fell asleep to it last night.  It definitely is a worthy addition to the ambient guitar discussion.  Anyone that likes ambient guitar would enjoy this cd.  Another wonderful Infraction release.  Thanks for the heads up, Jason.

Nice one, Dave. Koda's the one I lost my Infraction cherry to well over 3 years back, so I have a certain fondness for it, though others have superseded it in my affections.

Just recalled I had a label profile of Infraction published in e/i magazine back in the days it made your hands inky to read - now preserved for ink-free posterity here:

http://www.ei-mag.com/profile0004.php

Bear in mind the profile was penned in 200*6*, when the latest release was this one (INFX018):

...and we're now up to the heady heights of INFX033  :)
(actually INFX03*5*, if you count this: http://www.discogs.com/release/1310498)

You guys are a fantastic label.  I plan on getting the Parks cd as soon as I get more money (I just spent over $100 on Steve Roach alone today).

The Aloof Proof re-release has been one of my favorite purchases of the year so far!  Don't think I will ever tire of that one.  And the above posted Milieu is a constant companion as well.

Anyway, cheers and keep up the good work

Thanks Ryan.  $100 for Steve Roach?  Wow.  The Parks CD is just $12.

 ;D

New stuff soon - 2 new releases slated for the beginning of June.  I'll post details here in the Hypnos forum somewhere soon.

The Parks cd just wiped out my bad attitude. Headphoned it, and it is a truly sweet delight. Had the player on random and got sent into World Receiver as well...Infraction label is quite the mood booster. The other albums I got from this label are also filling me with joy...tomorrow Aloof Proof is waiting...

Hi,

I just take the opportunity of this topic to thank the label Infraction to have re-released "Piano text" by Aloof Proof.
I have been playing it as a loop since I received it last week.

Some of the most beautiful music I've been listening to, especially the first track, full of emotion.
Furthermore, layout and packaging are the perfect reflect of the music.

I have one question. The tracks are subtitled in french. Was there any french member in the band ?

Best regards,
David

No, Michel Fibe is the only ‘member’ of Aloof Proof, and as far as I know, he’s Spanish (Catalan, to be precise). Brian Bieniowski has constructed a website for AP here, for those interested in the project’s history: http://www.aloofproof.com/

No problem, that's what we "Supermoderators" are here for!

(I actually flew out into space & rotated the Earth in the opposite direction for awhile, which caused time to go backward to the exact moment you made the typo, and I then implanted a subliminal suggestion in your mind to NOT make the typo, and here we are, history rewritten, mistake erased)!  (yawn).....It's just another day in the life of a Supermoderator... (We even have a secret headquarters here, but you can't see it, cuz' it's completely invisible to the non-Supermoderator eye). Pretty cool, huh?  8)
