Yes thanks Bert for the review, and thanks for all the nice comments from everyone, it is appreciated very much.

Sound clips are up at all the usual locations now. Also, I just made a longer excerpt for those who need more then 30 seconds to make up your mind about a release. You can listen to it here or on my soundcloud account. Its about 9 minutes in length and contains sections from all four tracks. I hope you enjoy it.

Take care.

Thanks Loren. Nice work. I'm D/Ling from iTunes now.  :)
There is no spoon. Which sucks because I have a pudding cup.

Hi Loren,

I'm enjoying your new one, too.  I agree with Thomas--the pieces have a very immersive feel.  The first track reminds of the Bay Area fog as it slowly rolls in and envelops everything. :)

OOh, the clips are amazing! Can't wait to hear this in its fullness.

Too bad Roach messed up my order though. I'm still waiting for my copy since 4 weeks back, but it should be here next week.

Got Slow Dream last night from iTunes.  Excellent, and a real dronefest treat!

FYI, Slow Dream is now up over at bandcamp. You can listen to the entire album for free, or download it in higher quality formats such as FLAC, ALAC or even mp3. You will find it here:

I hope you enjoy it.  :)
Take care.

Just wanted to update everyone on my current activities. Right now as I type this Mark Seelig is here and we are in the middle of collaborating on the of making a new CD. So far after 3 1/2 days we have about 40 minutes of music. We have a couple of more days of work, and at this rate we should have an entire album mostly recorded by Friday. Later in the month Pankaj Mishra a master musician of the sarangi - an Indian string instrument that is played with a bow - will be joining us to record his instrument for the album. We should have it all wrapped up sometime in September.

As for how it sounds, it starts off as something like Jorge Reyes goes to a temple ceremony in Bali to perform, followed by Mark playing some Bansuri flute which leads into a percussion jam. Next up will be as Mark calls it the "celestial gamelan," I recorded us playing some gamelan instruments at UCLA this weekend. The album will probably end with Pankaj doing his thing in an alap style. Of course I've been throwing everything I can find sound wise into the audio soup so it should be very interesting.
Take care.

Sounds like fun, Loren.  Good luck with it.

Maybe you should dedicate a track to Mark Prendergast;)...
