i picked up some loop bundles by pro sessions. wow! these have some very cool sounds and they were CHEAP! - $9.99 per set. i got 3 - tension theory, spooky ghost and sounds of unseen worlds. has anyone else ever used or heard of them?

I have sampled from Future Music or Computer Music discs and I may actually own a set (one came with M-Audio hardware I believe). What I dislike is the fact that 90% of these are beat type loop libraries. I could care less for that and would prefer to see more sound efx/ambient stuff. I recently got Loop Noir and Available Light from Sony and have Ugly Remnants and Arythmia from said magazine discs and other stuff obtained elsewhere. But Pro Sessions has some decent stuff. Get them at your local Guitar Center!

Hey Jim, those sound pretty interesting. Where did you get them?  Thanks,  Harry D
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kickboxing.

Haha, is that because you contributed to that one too?! I have your other two libraries from Sony BTW. I have Available Light and Loop Noir (recommend both). I am picky with what I get and I am tired of all the drum ones that are out there, I have pretty much no use for them unless I want to (and do) mangle them in Live. Iuse Super Impulse Response (SIR) and there's a free version 1.0.11 or you can pay ~$150 (euro?) for SIR2. I will stick with the original freebie ;-) and I bought the 3 IR discs from Darrel Burgen's Spirit Canyon releases which I use with SIR. I just hate that most of the (crap) is hip hop/drums/etc...and nothing really STRICTLY ambient/dark ambient (I prefer finding the latter). One place for a BUNCH of free loops/samples is www.freesound.org which has a pretty extensive library and I think a user from the old forum (not sure if he's back here or not yet) has stuff there.

Hahahahaha, I'm trying. I started using the Extreme's orchestral combi's and matching the bpm and using metronome to do some simple progressions for Mired In Twilight. I just have to work on that some more. Usually we were drawing them in the piano roll editor/midi track in Live and using different drum samples in Impulse. Now that there are drum racks and I have a Korg padKontrol maybe I'll get to finally using that too!
