Not sure I would classify myself as a HM fan, but I did love me some Deep Purple back in the day. Made In Japan is still one of the best live albums ever recorded.

Other bands that I'd turn it up for were Black Sabbath, Black Oak Arkansas, and in Heavy Jazz(a category I just made up) the original Mahavishnu Orchestra lineup.
There is no spoon. Which sucks because I have a pudding cup.

Another Belter !

Uli Roth at his best:
Scorpions All night Long Tokyo Tapes

I should point out that I also rate QOTSA and Rammstein, as well - I'm not totally stuck in the past !

Ein Sophistry

If you're in the mood for something really gnarly, Car Bomb's latest delivers in spades.

Bands that are heavy enough for volume at 11: Skinny Puppy, Ministry, The Obsessed, Spirit Caravan, White Zombie, Sepultura, Corrosion of Conformity and of course... Metallica but my preferences these days are jazz rock fusion and ambient...
