Mark,

Thanks for mentioning this gig although I'm thoroughly confused about the time as it's listed on the Stillstream site as 10:00 pm central. I'll confirm the time.

Regardless, I'm working up a set that's a combination of my more ambient wind synth material fused with the more sequenced stuff I've done in the past. Looking forward to the virtual concert!

Interesting... I was told myself and THEE Mr. Stephen Philips would be playing StillStream on saturday... since Mr. Philips is visiting and all.  probably just as well since the studio is still being connected.

You're leaving out the Mountain Time Zone... sheesh!  So, that would be 9:00 MDT.   ;)

Started pretty late for me, but heard some of the live show and enjoyed it !
Was also fun to hear tracks from Shadows on Water just before.

Good stuff, Jonathan.

Thanks Anthony; it was great to hear our tracks.

I didn't realize it started so late either, but it was nice of Darrell to play an hour's worth of music before the live part, including two complete tracks from Anatomy of Waves. There were some problems with the feed at the beginning, but I recorded the live part. You can hear or download the performance here (it's a little over an hour):

The live part started just after midnight here. But I stayed awake for half of it.
Looking forward to hearing the whole thing.
I really liked your very gradual introduction of backing pads and rhythmic elements.
Worked well.

Great set.  Is that a wah pedal in there or some other kind of filter modulation?

Yes Mark, that's a Vox wah pedal with a wind synth. The pedal's part of the Vox Tonelab LE floor effects pedal that I use.

These "ambient trainwrecks" as Palancar likes to call them are a lot of fun to be a part of.  I did one a few months ago on Stillstream.  It was total spur of the moment - with like 1 hour to prepare... it went ok, but it was mostly just fun... to be on the spot and just see what comes out.

Stephen Philips was at the Mysterium with me last saturday and we laid down somewhere around an hour (or maybe 2) of useable music for broadcast on Stillstream.  It was completely live and unplanned - there are a few mistakes, since I had really barely just got the new studio location set up and had been quite busy, I had little time to prepare.  Stephen is going to take the material and edit it a bit because some of these "mistakes" are like random synth stabs popping up in the middle of a swirling ambient drone (all my fault).

Anywho, yeah, I liked your performance JB and will be listening to it some more.
