Thought I'd try my luck over here:
Since I am rebuilding my studio arsenal, I thought I'd see if anyone has anything for sale in the way of gear.
I'm not interested in guitars, bass, or flutes, etc. Got those covered.
I'm more interested in pedals, synth/sequencer, drum machine, fx, or other electronic noisemakers/noisechangers. I'm not looking for mammoth synth stuff like a Virus TI or Korg Triton, the smaller the better.

The smaller the better you say? Try the Chimera bc16 miniature patch synthesizer.

Looks like I might've spoke too soon about this little synth. I just checked out a thread on it over at Vintage Synth Explorer and it seems quite a few buyers have been waiting a long time, some since January, and still haven't received their Chimera yet. 

It looks like fun to toy with though. Could be great for coffee house gigs, commuting on the bus, train or long jet flights.

You should have seen the looks on security when I took my Korg Wavedrum as a carry on through Holland and Germany...

While we're talking small synth/doodads. I'm quite in love with my Kaossilator -
so it's not for sale but they're pretty reasonable new. Maybe not the greatest for ambient music -
although add a stereo volume pedal and and some verb/delay/whatever & you're getting there.
I bring mine on the bus/subway to and from work and make various loopy grooves and solo away
on top. Great fun and you must get very Zen about the results, because it has no memory.
(Sometimes I can sample my homebound loop into my Kaoss Pad 3.)
I've tried it live now and it will remain part of my regular live setup.



Serious fun even without the Autobahn. They're not paying me - really.

Good point. I remember reading about Chris Franke crossing the border in Germany, I think, carrying an EMS SynthA or something like that, I believe, back in the 70s and had an interesting time trying to explain what it was. I wonder how many little synth do-dads have been chucked into shampoo bins over the years?

Wow, I want one of these.  A little googling tells me this will be released this summer, will cost $50-60, but will not support midi.  Pretty nifty though.  Imagine giving a concert with a DS or two on the table, along with a mixer, and a laptop for FX and other sound sources.

$50-$60 dollars sounds amazingly cheap. If it sounds good it could be a real bargain

That little keyboard looks suspiciously like Casio VL-Tone from the good old days.  The controllers to the right almost look Serge-like.  Very nice.

I have a used Roland MC-505 for sale if you're interested. I'm the 2nd owner of the groovebox and it comes with original manuals and power cord. I also have the RAM maxed out on it.

I'd better make a post that I am no longer actively buying gear. I appreciate everyone who has made offers and deals, but I've just made the last purchase I can do for some time. Maybe this could be a free-for-all for other gear geeks here?

I'm still lusting over the Komplete + Kore combo that's going on right now - $999 for both.   

And I'm lusting over the STG Labs Wave Folder ( http://stgsoundlabs.com/products/wave_folder_mu.htm ) for my modular.  Oh what a lovely looking beast that is!   (it helps if you look up the youtube demos of it...)

I'm not buying either until several other financial concerns get well in hand...

1)   I just switched to being paid monthly after being paid bi-weekly for about 15 years.
2)   I'm still waiting for all the bills to roll in from my surgery... yick.
3)   I owe a healthy chunk of change on my roof - $7,500 to round it off nicely
4)   We're getting a new bed, and I doubt our warranty claim for our old one will go through

Komplete is what I really want, but I'm fairly certain that will trigger a need for a new computer as well... it's a never ending cycle!

Let me dampen your lust for at least the Kore part. I had one and was never really that happy with it. It just never lived up to my expectations, half the features I bought it for never really worked the way I wanted it to. It seems now to be an excuse for you to spend money now buying presets from NI.  If anyone is interested its up on ebay right now:

Thanks for that - although I've seen a ton of bad reviews of Kore (as well as a few good ones).   My primary lust is Komplete - which normally sells for $999 - the Kore bit is a bonus freebie...

Well remember, Komplete has been featured here & there recently, without Kore, for $699.  So that makes Kore not quite a freebie, at $999 for the two.
