That's sounds (and looks) really cool, Harry.  A bargain, too... 8)

I went ahead and ordered one. I had been interested in some of their instruments for quite some time but was afraid to take a chance for something that's not cheap and I hadn't seen any reviews or experiences from anyone that owned one. However, at $300 I felt I could take a chance. I'll post my thoughts after I receive and play with mine awhile.

Yep, that looks like a fun instrument, Harry. I could see feeding it through a multi-effect box for some chorusing, delay, and reverb and away you go !    8)

I've been lining up my effects, planning on which I'm going to use first.  :) I just hope the build quality is good.

I will.

We're counting on you, Harry!   :)  What would be cool is a jam session using only Folktek instruments.  I've always wanted to do an album with only homemade instruments--kind of like Pink Floyd's aborted project to create an album with rubber bands and other household objects.

After ordering it in June with a estimated July delivery date, my Folktek Conduit arrived today.I've spent the last almost two hours playing with it and I must say, having fun. It is a pretty simple device with 4 knobs and 10 touchplates. There are 4 jacks. One for audio out, audio in, cv out and cv time. The 4 knobs are for mix, feedback, time and filter cutoff. Learning to control it and use it musically should be interesting. For the time being, I'm not using any outboard effects until I get a better idea of what I'm doing. I'm running it through an old Line 6 POD I've had since 1999 and using some of it's effects. Like I said, I have been having a lot of fun making sounds and noise, but I feel a lot like I did when I first started fooling around with a Synthi AKS in my schools electronic music studio in 1972. Cool sounds, but I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I will definitely be playing with it some more today and tomorrow and will let you know how I progress with it. Can't wait to try some of my effect pedals with it. Using touchpads , you affect it differently depending on where you touch the pads and how much surface of your finger is touching it. You also get different sounds from the pads depending on which other pads you are touching at the same time. Like I said, it is fun to play.
