Regarding the Lost Island
« on: February 18, 2014, 07:05:37 AM »
When the Lost TV series did air on Television, I did dream away how wonderful it would had be to experience such journey and to live on the island.. I think the series has had a quite big impact on me...made me dream away..of a different life..far beyond this one.

I read they did shout the series on for different islands... I wish it all was on one island, so you could go and visit all the places where they did shot the series, the under ground tunnels, the water falls, the station bunker, if it all was there I could consider maybe 1 year or so of my life there.. to just reflect on existence and life in general and found "inner peace and new power" and dream away from this western world and system we are stuck in.

Most of the series was shot in Hawaii... and humorously close to public beaches. (well all beaches are public in Hawaii technically).  Literally tons of the show was shot there - except a few bits here and there.  It's been a long while since I was nuts for Lost - man I loved that show.

At the height of LOST - especially that amazing first season - I was knee deep in the research and what is going on here? aspects of the show...  It was so brilliant.  And my wife and I stuck with it all the way through.  It stumbled now and then - (sometimes hideously bad) but as a work of art - wow they did good.

And yes - that island would be amazing to visit.

Although - it's kind of like reading a wonderful book that is so vivid in your mind - and then someone makes a movie and it doesn't live up to the visions you had... and then the movie's feel overtakes what you saw originally... it's happened to me a couple times... :-(

That was a great series. My wife and I would spend hours speculating about the origins/meaning of the Smoke Monsters. Lost was a bit incoherent in from a big picture point of view, but I loved the character development, the way the pre-island stories would evolve into island stories, and the mystery of the island, the others, etc. I hope another series comes along that inspires the same sense of awe and immersion.

Yeah I miss this time, cause the series was a big part of my consciousness in that time...  I wish the island did exist in real as in the series, then I would love to go there for sure  to experience it.
