Thank you for your nice, thoughtful comment. It's true. I do put a lot of myself into it- I'm sure most people who create music do- music is one of those places I guess where people can do that. It's like a sound diary of your own thoughts and feelings.
But, speaking of putting yourself into your music, I do have a memory of being about 8 years old and playing a very dreamy chord on my guitar and thinking ...."dreamy far-away music is what i will eventually do".
I think after years of writing different styles of music and playing in countless bands, I've started listening to that 8 year old boy.
Isn't it weird that you can know these things as a kid- I hadn't heard ambient music at that point. I guess you really know yourself as a kid in the intuitive sense, and sort of begin to forget yourself as an adult, then have to go to see a shrink to remember yourself.
