My fifth CD, Incandescent, is now available via Bandcamp (if you have Paypal) and soon, all the other usual places (amazon, iTunes, CD Baby, etc.)

The CD comes in a six-panel four-color glossy eco-wallet.

Incandescent was composed and recorded between October 2014 and January 2015. It is comprised of nine songs, running a total of about 67 minutes. The first three songs are sequence-oriented, Berlin School-esque songs, with the remaining six songs of a much slower nature, much like many of my past sound world drone oriented compositions.

Mastering was done by Chad Kettering at Soniclayers Mastering in Dallas, TX and may be his best mastering of my work yet. The man knows his stuff.

Incandescent was composed entirely within Reason 8. The following
synths and Rack Extensions were used:

Subtractor
Thor
Malstrom
Parsec
Noxious
ReDominator
Rob Papen Quad
PredatorRE
kiloHearts kHs ONE

These are all proprietary to Reason. Mixdown and cleanup was done in
Presonus Studio One II, then passed on to Chad Kettering for mastering,
which was also accomplished in Presonus SO II and various VST plugins.

The CD design and layout was done by me, using various photographs that I took on a recent trip to Monument Valley Arizona. Layout was acheived in Photoshop CS5, after which the designs were converted to .pdf and sent to the factory.

The CD is dedicated to composer Richard Burmer, who passed away in 2006. He was a profound influence on my own musical direction. His picture is displayed inside the eco-wallet and was graciously provided to me by Richard's family, along with many other photo from which I was allowed to choose. Song number four on the CD, "Valley Of The Rocks" features a piccolo-like riff at the end, which was composed by Richard Burmer and first appeared on his album, On The Third Extreme, on a song called "Celebration In The Four Towers". Again, Richards family allowed me to re-compose the part into my own work. I kept it subtle and is meant as a respectful ode to Richard and his incredible music. The part is used with permission from Richard's family.

This CD marks the last CD I'll compose using only Reason. Moving forward, I'll be using Presonus Studio One II as my main music writing environment, using various VST instruments and hardware synthesizers, including some classic analog monsters...

Hardware:
Moog Prodigy
Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 12
Sequential Circuits Prophet 600
Korg MS2000b
Korg MS2000r
Oberheim Matrix 12

VST:
Arturia Moog Modular
NI Massive
NI Absynth
Sonic Projects OP-X
FabFilter Twin2

Thanks to everyone here at Hypnos Forum who continue to support my musical endeavours.
