A new Jaja release and my year is already off to a good start. Listening to it now, and I need a spaceship for my birthday.

Thank you, Jana.

happy neujahr 2018 for all stargazers from inner and outer space! :))

I must listen to both of your albums, jana!

and, as you say not having any plans for new releases next time - you are heartfully invited to participate at

naviarhaiku's each week: www.naviarrecords.com

maybe it will be a new experience - trying to transform a haiku into music !

best wishes for 2018,
fabio

Hello jana, I really enjoy your music, since listening I have acquired my own Jd 800, however, there really are no other tutorials on how to transfer sysex info to the JD 800 anywhere but your website, thank you for posting this info, I still cant get a new patch list to upload or "dump" to my JD 800, unwittingly I deleted my factory library. I now cannot find anywhere the factory library for the JD800. I cant even get other libraries to upload, I have followed your directions and I am using Midi ox, however it doesnt show Jd800/per say , it only shows where my midi ports are. my soundcard. thats it. I have been trying to change patches for 3 months now to no avail. I am now desperate for info and suggestions. SO:

 A. can you point me to a DL of the factory library?

B. What do you suggest to "dump" new patched to my jd 800. my midi ox show files sending, but jd 800 shows nothing. What do you suggest ? thank you for your time . :)

Hi and thanks for reaching out to me. I LOVE that you bought a Roland JD-800. I have mine since 2012 and from this synthesizer I learned a lot. Im sorry to hear about your troubles. I know this feeling and I was always happy to get help.

The factory library is still in the JD-800. You only have to do a factory reset. Follow the below instruction: (Source: https://www.rolandus.com/assets/press_media_resources/Factory_Reset.pdf)

RŪ Factory Reset Procedures JD-800

Press DATA TRANSFER. Use PAGE UP (^) and DOWN (v) to select FACTORY PRESET.
Press YES

About your second question, please ask Marco who wrote the tutorial. Please write a short message to contact@cyan-music.com and he will try to help you.

All best and good luck,
Jana

I just released my new album "Upon the river of heaven". It is a contemporary work combining traditional japanese themes with synthesis.
The far eastern way to live and to see the world, in beauty and melancholy but also with a mysterious touch of universal desire and destiny, I feel so very like that.

The music is very much inspired by the japanese wakas (little poems) from the Heian period when Buddhism, Taoism and other Chinese influences were at their height.
I worked on this album a lot. It was a process to integrate the japanese feeling into my music play, then I composed a lot of themes, and all dropped them.

So I found this music.

01 - Far away yet
02 - The river of heaven
03 - Stars within the sky
04 - Yoshino

The album is available in 24bit version on my bandcamp site and in 16bit versions on our label. A pressed CD is scheduled for end of May (preorder via bandcamp).
