Came across this tonight from Bandcamp......just getting into it, lots to listen to...a fair amount Im not familiar with.  Interesting to see Bandcamps / blogger's take on ambient.

I like that BC does these types of articles but they always seem to miss out on certain artists that really should be mentioned...

True. I don't think the music they picked was bad but there are plenty of major names they missed.

Where's Celer? Robert Rich? Michael Stearns? Gas? Bill Laswell? Windy & Carl? Amp? How about anything from the Japanese and Russian scenes which are red hot right now?

Also, I really like Experimental Audio Research but Peter Kember hasn't made an album under that alias in forever.

At least they had Steve Roach but I would have highlighted Structures From Silence instead of one of his sequencer based albums.

Not sure what criteria BC uses, but I've seen many of their so called "Massive Survey of Ambient" pieces and listen to all of them.  Less than 10% of them are something that appeals to a seasoned listener of Ambient.  Perhaps someone here that isn't an Ambient artist should volunteer to promote exceptionally good Ambient?
