it absolutely sucks and a half - twice!
not only is it not electronic it features more vocals by youth rather than sir paul. it is just plain bad!

i just saw this and it is quintessential tarantino - equal parts shock, violence and humor. hearing brad pitt's accent is hilarious and it gets deeper, darker and funnier from there. the best character - by far - is a nazi.

i wish they'd had this when i had a motorcycle - especially when i was drunk. it was a real pain to either restart or push the bike after opening the door.

Everything and Nothing / new auxilaries

has anyone here used one of these before?
it is a very cool pick and gives a different kind of timbre. it is also versatile with different effects based on the angle to the strings. the best augmentation i have found is on the lap harp. it is almost transformed into a concert harp with the multiple pickings.
this one is a tad more complex. i haven't figured out how to use it yet.

i used an ebow on my electric bass and - wow - it blew me away! the feedback around the electric pick up is quite vibrant, to say the least.
have any of you tried this? and do you have a bit of a problem getting the E string to work with the ebow? i also used a violin bow and the E works but not much of an effect. the G string is amazing with the vbow.

this is a great movie. while, like all the hp movies, it is missing much of the book it is very entertaining and captures the gist of the book. i loved every minute!

rst is an underappreciated artist - totally! he has 4 new releases - mantra, ghost words, glod flowers bloom mercury petals, motets for michalengelo - that are absolutely amazing works by a true musical genius. i recommend each one highly. (see a review of mantra in another thread.)

this flick is absolutely hilarious. it is not your typical geek/hot girl movie although there are similarities. basically, like the hangover, this is better than i thought it would be.

Everything and Nothing / "the hangover"

this is one of the funniest movies i have ever seen. i think i laughed for 80% of the movie. not your typical party flick.

his new cd - wanderlust is an engaging and deep set of ambient bliss. while it is similar to his earlier discs it also shows tremendous growth and progression. excellent stuff, jeff! absolutely excellent!

Other Ambient (and related) Music / react by rich/boddy
« on: May 23, 2009, 02:35:27 PM »
i recently picked up the new cd by robert rich and ian boddy - react. this is a recording of their first live performance together - june 16, 2007 at the iron gate theater in philadelphia at the star's end 30th anniversary celebration concert. i was there and the performance was energetic and exciting. so is the cd.

Other Ambient (and related) Music / cluster - qua
« on: May 21, 2009, 05:21:26 PM »
their first studio album in a decade is an awesome display of extraordinary talent. on dwight ashley's nepenthe label, qua delivers on every level - cool ambience, sweeping experimental sounds and quirks to delight any listener.

Everything and Nothing / angels and demons
« on: May 15, 2009, 04:19:06 PM »
this movie, while not as good as davinci code (imo), is more intense with a much faster pace. there are lots more clever interpretations of symbols (duh!) and very cool surprises. none of the character whom i thought to be the demons were demons at all.
highly recommended!

scroll down to the "my music" section and give it a listen.
