If you listen to a CD or vinyl, then you're right. But since most hifi equipment has USB ports nowadays, you can easily put 20 albums on a stick and listen in random mode. That's what I quite often do: a nice selection of Ambient, Post-Rock, and some Luxembourgish folk, et voilà I can prepare my history lessons  ;D

Well, whenever I buy either a CD or vinyl I always convert it to mp3 & for when I am out and about and even then I listen to an album, I never have it on "shuffle tracks". The only time I don't listen to a full album is when I get to work before the album has finished (which is usual as it is a 50 minute journey only)

Heard this on radio this morning

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-12209143

I was a little surprised reading this that it basically says that a lot of people now just listen to random tracks and not full albums anymore. It is very rare that after putting on an album that I don't listen to all of it. For some reason I thought that was what most people did  :o

Another good album from Robert Davies. I like the feeling of this album. I feel it's a little similar to Garden of Twilight in that he manages to make drone ambient sound very natural. Good stuff and I really like the way DataObscura's album covers have gone  :)

I got this a week ago and have listened to it a lot. Very nice work again.
Strataradialis is one of my favourite albums of all time and I was worried that my hopes were too high, however I was not disappointed with this album. Very immersive, quality stuff  :)

This release looks lovely. I just ordered this along with North. I loved Chronostatic Scenes and I didn't even know you had released another album. Now I get to receive both at the same time  ;D
I am very curious as to this other world but also a little worried that I am not smart enough to discover it :(

If I was having sex with a woman who was basically me in a hot girl's body....Cymphonic - Strataradialis

If I am having sex with a normal girl...Ishq - Orchid

Listening to this right now & it has had pretty heavy rotation in my CD player and seeing as it's summer when i usually opt for more upbeat music that must be something :)

This is very deep and entrancing, I love the minute details that pop out at me.

Good to see Meridian getting played, thanks abasio.
And good to see Geist Cycles spinning too, one of my favourites.

I didn't really get Meridian at first, couldn't hear anything in it. But after dozing to it, it suddenly unfolded and I could suddenly hear melodies atmosphere's and even watery goodness. Nice stuff.

The Geist Cycles I actually didn't like at first but over the last 2 years it's become a solid 5/5 album for me :)
