Enjoying all 4 of these releases ^^^^^^

Still deciding which I like the most, possibly - They Grow layers ........... at the moment.

Great stuff as ever.

Juta Takahashi - Albion , music inspired by the landscape of the UK. The album cover is befitting of the music, absolutely beautiful ambient of the highest quality. That photo has to be my homeland I suspect. North West Highlands or Skye possibly, stunning. Had to get the iTunes download as not on bandcamp unfortunately. Available on CD baby though.

Also.......from cryochamber......

Randall Collier - Ford ..... Remnants . A dark ambient beauty from the depths of a subterranean city at night I suspect  ;). Reminiscent of Lightwave - Nachtmusic which is high praise.

Both albums highly recommended.

Quaeschning and Schnauss- Synthwaves . The Tangerine Dream men. Very good indeed. Not strictly ambient obviously but with a blend of Berlin School and more modern electronica. Recommend checking it out. Bit of a grower also

Oldfield - Return to Ommadawn - nice stuff.
Tull - Thick as a Brick . Steve Wilson remix .

£1.99? Great find!

Couldn't believe my luck, perfect condition too. Have actually found a few Budd , Eno and some ambient collections in the same shop over the years, although it's mainly Rock and vinyl orientated. Never thought I would come across Mr Namlook's class music though . Will be checking more often now   :)

Dreamfish. Namlook/ Morris

Had the download for years and it sufficed whilst I acquired other FAX on CD. So in my local, favourite record shop my eyes popped right out my head, literally, when I saw the reissue on sale for £1.99. All these years , in fact decades, I have been purchasing from said shop and I have never seen any Namlook. Made my week that did  :D

Experiments in Silence - Suspended Form
Treated piano sounds with a nice use of space. The original 30-min piece is by Experiments in Silence; the second remixed piece is by Ishq.

Ishq - Ecalyculata
More experimental soundscapes from Ishq. I'm tiring of these. I'm always curious to see what he's up to, but I miss some of the more structured and serene work prior to 2015 or so. This has some neat sounds, but the tracks don't seem thoughtfully curated or assembled.

The Experiments In Silence CD I have from ...txt is really beautiful stuff , will dig it out this weekend and give your link a listen also.

Have to agree with you Chris on the more experimental stuff from Ishq. Checked out the recent Archetypal of Light and fhorm on Spotify and really not sure about them at all. However I have been playing a lot of the more recent chilled ambient stuff , again on Spotify - Evergreen Ocean, Pureland, Dimensions of Air and I think the other two I liked were Onirojenik World and Nuiemiu Rift . Hard to keep up with this lads music but I do enjoy dipping in frequently on Spotify.

Excellent album. Been playing it frequently on Spotify past few weeks. First time I have heard this lads music. Impressed.

Been listening to Structures of Light on Spotify. Excellent.......really beautiful music.

Also "Out There" also. Very weird to hear the music on its own without playing the game. Really great stuff. Cheers.

It's really a beautiful album Chris.  I would also recommend "Autumn Continent" I have been falling asleep to that one several nights in a row. Gorgeous music.

Just received the new CD ,

Melody orientated ambient beauty. Hope you are enjoying it also Richard    8)

Between Interval - The Edge of a Fairy Tale . Had the download for years but just purchased the CD as it is sooo good. . Atmospheric themes from another world. Class. He also has a new release out - Legacy - which I have heard on Spotify . Urgent list !!!!

Jonn Serrie - Daystar . Yet more space ambient mastery from the space ambient master.

Jonn Serrie - The Sentinel

Had this disc for 3 weeks and it has been on constantly. Absolutely stunning space ambient. Beautiful, drifting, always interesting. This will be my release of 2017 I just cannot see it being bettered. One of my alll time favourite ambient releases, it is actually a masterpiece.

Finished Season2 of Fortitude.

What can I say. I think "enjoyed" would be the wrong word. Very, very dark , disturbing, brutal but addictive. Stunning scenery and 2 or 3 very good acting performances.( some not so good but insufficient to spoil the overall )

As said, disturbing stuff.

Recently:

Tangerine Dream - The Virgin Years '77-'83 5xCD boxset

https://www.discogs.com/Tangerine-Dream-The-Virgin-Years-1977-1983/release/3659996

Not my favorite era of TD, but I was surprised at how much I liked most of the music in this set. I guess this is where the classic era sort of ends for most people.

I am an early to mid 70s TD man, probably like most TD folk. However Force Majeure and Tangram would have to also be in my all time stunning album list.

Actually have every studio album and eps right up to the present day . There is still a lot of good stuff in the more recent releases like Springtime/Summer in Nagasaki and the sonic poem series, Island of the Fey for instance. Acquired the most recent ep "Particles" which is very good and has a real 70s vibe on disc 1. Also streamed their recent gig on a riverboat in Budapest . It was absolutely excellent, very hopeful for the new album which is planned.

Possibly the greatest album of all time   ;)

Yes - Close to the Edge . The Steve Wilson (of Porcupine Tree fame)  remix. Difficult to get hold of this version now. The new stereo mix is excellent great clarity in the vocals and instrumentation. Possibly even an improvement on the original.

I will listen to the Blu Ray 5.1 surround at the weekend and possibly completely and utterly blow my mind  :)

That Keith Berry album sounds interesting, looking forward to hearing it. Cheers for the review link cvac.

Re: Eno, I don't have anything after 1986. I guess I should check out some of his recent work. I've heard some good comments.

Since '86 I only have The Shutov Assembly, which I enjoy.  I did not like "The Ship" and I wasn't keen on Small Craft although need to check that again. Still need to hear Lux. New one sounds very promising from that wee snippet and I have read other positivity elsewhere.
