OK, I will now admit to being addicted to a site called, "I Can Has Cheezburger"?

 http://icanhascheezburger.com/

(Trust me, it gets funnier & funnier the more you look)...

Admittedly, not sure how two ambientphiles ended up so well-adjusted, but.... :o  :D

"Well-adjusted"? (Hmmm, you obviously don't know us very well)... ;D

Well, I've actually received quite a few letters from people who said that they were kind of expecting that my cello would actually sound like a cello when they ordered the album, (oops, can you say, "unpleasant surprise")?  ;D  Oh well, that's what you get for not listening to the sound clips! Anyway, I think you're right about the new trend of people looking for more "organic" sounds, I just received an email from a man who asked if I knew of any CDs that were more piano & strings, sort of like "classical ambient". (I know that's definitely more along the lines of what I want to do for my next album)...

Hey, husband~

You get another Karma point for staying up half the night working on this, (while I was comfortably snoozing away)... :-*

Anyway, the point is it doesn't take talent or a lot of money, just a lot of reverb.  Take me for example... I just alike all the blinky lights and pretend I'm Cap'n Kirk half the time.

Uh-uh, Jesse,

No WAY are you going to get away with insinuating that you have no talent! You are one of my very favorite ambient musicians EVER, & I think that your music is WON-DER-FUL! (Besides, it takes a HUGE amount of talent to make all those blinky lights & reverb sounds work for ya')!

(That is all. Beam me up, Scotty)... ;)

Hey, everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that if you're on my MySpace friends list, you are going to find a nice little bulletin from "me" about how I am apparently a "Nawty Babe", who wants to "Hook-Up". (yeesh).....

Hey, that stuff reminds me of "Violet Crumble" candy bars, (which are hard to find, because they're imported). They're super-light & sort of honeycombed on the inside. You should try to find those, I'll bet you would like them! Here's a description I found:

Violet Crumble -- a chocolate-covered honeycomb bar with a texture like biting dry plaster, which shatters into shards as sharp as glass. Sounds delicious, right? But thatís the trick, because it is delicious -- tasting of smoked raw sugar, of deeply sweet and dirty honey, of a sugar cube soaked in Liquid Smoke, then veiled in milk chocolate. It is such a bizarre flavor that the only proper way to eat a bar is over days, taking a nibble here and a nibble there, never allowing yourself to become accustomed to the essential strangeness of biting into something that tastes like cigar-ash-and-honey dressed in chalk, (you don't actually need to chew these things, however, they just melt in your mouth).

I'm already dreaming about Mike's amazing homemade garlic mashed potatoes! When I was little, though, my aunt always made these things she called "buckeyes", which was like a peanut butter ball dipped in chocolate. I have since carried-on the tradition, I made them for Thanksgiving this year. (Yummy, but very, very dangerous, since they contain a TON of butter, peanut butter & sugar)...

Still, even that was nowhere near as bad as what Disney did to Lloyd Alexander's The Black Cauldron

That's just painful to even LOOK at...(yeesh)...
