Brian Lavalle Fallen Are the Domes of Green Amber. An amazing record, droning majesty...
Then you must listen to Brian Lavelle's "Ustrina" on AFE along with his partner in crime Alistair Crosbie's "Music For Shipwrecks"...trust me both of these will not let you down....you can purchase both of these albums over at "and/oar diffusion shop" for a mere $10 bucks in the states...what a deal I payed 20 something when they first came out.
Over the last few days I have been enjoying theses little one's
Seasons (pre-din) - By The Banks Go By - Thy Recs
(Agghhh....this is so awesome! Very similiar to Loren Chasse and Jewled Antler works for comparisons sake)
Banks Bailey - Vibrations From The Holocene - Quiet World
(Field Recordings enviroments...If you like Gordon Hempton and such then you should check it out)
Various - 88 Tapes - Kesh
(Somevery good tracks on this comp....Lawrence English, Christopher Bissonnette, Dale Lloyd, Sawako, Mark Tempelton...For the most part I enjoy the comp but a few songs stick out like pimples in my youth)
Emeralds - What Happened - No Fun
(Why is this year pumping out so much awesome stuff!!!!)
Yagya - Ringing - Sending Orbs
(Seriously....way too much good stuff!!!!!)
Lawrence English - It's Up To Us To Live - Sirr
(It Keeps coming)
Bvdub - Prayer To False Gods - Shoreless
(The album has only been out for 5 days and it is already fetching $75...freaking ridiculous. It's actually a very good album and perhaps his most ambient work to date. However this label has really begun to piss me off...I pay about $30 bucks for each release including the shipping (expensive since it comes from the EU). And all of the music is mastered way to low with freaking 45 seconds of silence in the beggining of the track and 30 seconds of silence once the track ends. I feel like they stole 1/4 of money after what was supposed to be a 52 minute album ends up being 42 minutes. And that's not it...what really irks me is the cheap CDR's that I can't extract any music from sometimes it won't even play on some of my CD players without the music skipping. The last CDR for example "G.R.I.T" won't even allow me to extract any of the music from the CDR without the files coming out all fuzzy with glitches. So beware the music is 5/5 on cheap shit Walmart CDR's with an immitative Chain Reaction metal case....)
