Taking advantage of the ADMusic sale I bought a dozen CDs from this UK label,
mostly of the lesser known artists. While it's best known for melodic electronic
music, amongst the set were three lovely ambient recordings by
Acheloomy favourite being
Ishtar.
http://www.admusiconline.com/main/acheloo.phpI've also been listening to an even larger box full of Groove-label CDs obtained at
the
Hampshire Jam 9 last month including the new
Create and the newly
formed
MorPheusz quartet, and a large potential difference of
VoLt. At the
Jam itself
Redshift impressed me; I'd not heard them before or had any of their CDs.
It's mid-70s Tangerine Dream with the analogue sound.
Also I've dusted off some old
Steve Hackett (and
Genesis) recordings after seeing
him live recently. He has a tight band. It was wonderful to have some woodwind
in the performance instead of the artificial synths sounds stealing the likes of Peter
Gabriel's flute parts.
