I like Pitch Black. I have three of their older albums: Electronomicon, Ape To Angel, and Rude Mechanicals.

DeepR

Steve Roach' latest.
I'm very impressed with the variety and level of detail of this album. This isn't a "born from the moment" thing but an album that he has really worked on for a longer period of time.

Also listening to Trance Archaeology just now...

Agree, this is a special album from Mr Roach. Deep, immersive with fascinating themes and subtle touches also. One of his best imo. Great stuff.

A Winged Victory for the Sullen - The Undivided Five
The third full-length release by this duo. Modern classical meets electronic-driven ambient, with amazing melodies and theatrical despair. Beautiful.

Chihei Hatakeyama - Ghost Woods

Haven't kept up too much with his work lately, but I did get this album recently and it's great. Perfect for Winter.

About half way through my first listen of this immense collection of stunning ambience. This is something special from the ...txt label. So good.

Steve Roach - Stillpoint
This is my favorite kind of Roach music: Drifting minimal synth work, with a few melodic hooks to elevate the experience. A perfect ending for 2019.

I thought it was awesome of Steve Roach to re-release Ascension of Shadows as pay-what-you-want for a little while.

Castleview

Innesti - Formless

Chris did a great job on this one, just like he did on his debut release. Great soundscapes.

...and the third album "Between Worlds" by Innesti released at the end of June is stunningly immersing too!!! Another must-have recording by this gifted US soundscaper!!! And btw, the fourth album is in the pipeline, it should be out very soon. Stay tuned, I am sure Chris will share it on these pages soon. Really looking forward!!!😉

Thanks for listening! And, yes, the new one will be coming out Jan 5th, 2020. I'll post something about it soon.

Now playing:
Sinius - The Poltergeist Syndrome
I saw him link to this in another part of the forums, which inspired me to give this a spin. I've been a big fan of his music since I first discovered him via a collaboration with Purl. The BC downloads are on the expensive side, so I tend to listen via Spotify.

Steve Roach - Trancearcheology. Really 'digging' this album, much more than expected and surprisingly more than the recent drifting ambient releases.

Fabio Keiner - Morrigan's Lament - https://fabiokeiner.bandcamp.com/album/morrigans-lament
Very interesting minimal release. I find it really nice to have in the background while I'm doing something.
