Klaus Schulze - Cyborg 1973, great album, chilly atmosphere; actually listening to bonus track "But Beautiful" from 1977; it does not fit so well to Cyborg's tracks; quite interesting recording though, typical sounds from that period;concert in Brussels; oh well, got already used to those bonus tracks on "revisited" editions

Some eclectic listening this week. Been enjoying these--

18th Dye - Amorine Queen (a new album over a decade after their last one! Crunchy pop punk in a Wire vein)
Hem - Funnel Cloud (very pleasant Americana with a faint 70s feel to the arrangements; reminds of the Cowboy Junkies)
Francisco Lopez - Belle Confusion 969 (I've heard his releases can be a mixed bag; this one has some great ambiguous drones in Koner-ish vein that build gradually)

"Spiders, Aether and Rain (The Finest Works of Ttts)" by Trance to the Sun - Brilliant surrealist Darkwave, "August Rain" may be one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard...

"The Cosmic Game" by Thievery Corporation - Wonderful sophisticate lounge-y stuff

"Nude and Rude" by Iggy Pop - Excellent music for cleaning the apartment and manic air guitar

Steve Roach's latest work, "Landmass," just arrived in my mailbox today. I've been listening to it all afternoon here at the office, and it's a tonic I need. Really looking forward to a deeper listen later.

What do you guys think of "Landmass" so far?

Just listening to The Circular Ruins - Falling Into The Sky

Sounds good as all of Anthony's work. Most ambient producers who come out with a lot of music tend to produce some that disappoint me but I'm yet to find anything from this guy that I don't love.

Sense Project - The Sublime

nice ambient guys, this is my first Hypnos purchase & what lead me to this forum. I especially like this style moody & deep with classical textures. I'm sure I can hear violin strings, piano etc. Anything else you guys would recommend in this vein?

Giuseppe Ielasi "August". I guess I should really wait a month before listening to this

I thought the primary instrument was guitar on this but I'm not so sure. Lovely in any case. A double bill with Christopher Willits seems right.
