We had snow almost the entire holiday. Very light and powdery but lots of it. It snowed all day yesterday. I got some great shots and will hopefully post them later tonight (they're still in the camera). I'd say we have about a foot on the ground, maybe a little less. Late last night and then this morning at 6:30 am when I took Mamie for a walk, it was almost surreal how calm and beautiful is all was...snow decorating each branch, soft diffused light, and so quiet...hardly any cars at all and no people. And it wasn't that cold - mid 20s, which is not bad for Minnesota in the winter. Anyway, it made me wish I was a kid and had gotten a saucer or sled for Christmas. There is a killer hill near our house. I'll bet it was packed.
Kathryn and I had a quiet day by ourselves. Too much food and libations, though. The East Indian meal was unbelievably delicious...maybe Kathryn's best ever. We ate very late though...around 8:30 pm. Then after I did some shoveling, we started a fire and watched
Love Actually, which I had given Kathryn for Christmas. One of favorite movies and, I might add, a perfect film for Christmas night (since it all takes place in the 4 weeks leading up to the day).
All in all, a very nice Christmas. I hope everyone here had a good one with the friends and loved ones.
