For those who love their Berlin School sequencer music, arguably the finest proponent is Redshift from UK.  Straight from the horse's mouth (Mark Shreeve), new studio album "Life to Come" release is imminent.  Really looking forward to this as the last studio album was "Turning Towards Us" from way back in god, 2009? Something like that.

Thanks for such great news. I love Redshift. You could though check out COLDER (and Wild 3), which came after Turning toward us.

I have everything by Redshift, including the first Wild release, and all the Arc (Boddy and Shreeve) albums.

Redshift is pretty much only Mark Shreeve these days.  Wouldn't be surprised if the new one is all Mark.

The CD and download are out on bandcamp now.  I received my CD over the weekend and I must say this is the best Redshift album to date.  The production is amazing.  Hope you have a good pair of speakers to handle the monstrous bass...

All the studio albums apart from Downtime are Mark Shreeve alone, have to agree the new album is amazing. Sequencing as it should be  ;)

Funny, I had the complete opposite reaction to this album.  I think it's some of the most melancholic and human music he's done.  The last few were getting kind of monotonous and left me cold.  Some new sounds on this one, and the tracks are nicely varied.  The more aggressive tracks  are really convincing as pieces of music instead of an onslaught of loud sequencers going at a manic pace.

@ Ekstasis,
If you haven't checked him out already, I can recommend Stephen Parsick/['ramp], similar and probably slightly darker. Stephen and Mark did an album together called Steel and Steam, highly recommended also. Stephen may have some copies left.  :)

I also really like Redshift. I've been playing "Glide" from the album "Toll" countless times over the last months. Retro done right.

Haven't seen Stephen Parsick aka ramp on here forever, about 2-3 years???

If you like the dark, gloomy Berlin school sequencer music, check out Cosmic Ground from Germany.  Two excellent CD's (or downloads) on Bandcamp.
