Hi all,

today it's 30th January 2021, and today would have been Klaus "Cosmic" Hoffmann-Hoock's 70th birthday.

In order to celebrate this and commemorate Klaus and his work, I have made a little tribute track available, Mellotron and all.

This track is available for free (of course you can donate if you wish), and it will be available only at this weekend. After that, it will be removed from my list of official and publically available releases.

I hope The Tall One will also enjoy this track, somewhere out in space.

Thanks for your time, stay healthy,

Stephen

Hi all,

the first Bandcamp Friday of 2021 sees me release a new digital download-only album, called "moon musick":

https://doombientmusic.bandcamp.com/album/moon-musick

No sequencers present this time around but 60 minutes of cosmic space ambient music (or is it cosmic ambient space music?). For more info, please refer to the respective Bandcamp entry.

This album will remain available for an indfinite period of time, unlike "madanpura" which was available only briefly.

Thanks for your time and your support.

Enjoy, and stay healthy,

Stephen

Hi all,

today it's Bandcamp Friday, with Bandcamp charging no fees on download albums sold. Reason enough to make another FLAC download available:

https://doombientmusic.bandcamp.com/album/gr-nland-music-for-glaciers

It's a remastered version of my 2006 album grønland, roughly 70 minutes of icy soundscapes and looped textural sound. When buying the single track, you will receive the missing pieces which are available as bonus tracks only to those who purchase the album.

Thanks for your time and your kind support, enjoy,

Stephen

Hi all,

even though there is no Bandcamp Friday in sight, I decided to make another FLAC download album available for those into dark, glacial ambient:

https://doombientmusic.bandcamp.com/album/cryotainer-music-for-gasometers

This is the live recording of my 2007 performance at Oberhausen Gasometer, recorded using a dummy head microphone for capturing the ambience of the huge gas tank, combined with the sound straight from the desk. It was really cold in there...

Please find more detailed info on the release page.

Thanks for listening and your time, enjoy!

My personal comment on the current situation:

Again, life beats art to it.

Enjoy,

I think I submitted some track to the Mars Mission album a while ago (if that was him as well) but it got ultimately rejected for not being "on topic enough".

Oh, well... thanks for the heads-up anyway.

Normally, I don't do that, boasting what nice bloke I am (you know that anyway), but in this case I think I might make an exception as it was you, the listeners and supporters:

https://ramp1.bandcamp.com/album/funny-sounds-in-public

The proceeds from this download were donated to a Ukrainian student of mine who shared them with her best friend (who escaped from Odessa with her baby son) and her parents and sister (who live in the triangle between Saporishja, Mariupol, and Dnipropetrovsk). The two ladies were extremely happy and overwhelmed by the kind response (and so was I, as well as Mario and Detlef).

A big thank you to all of you for your generosity and support.

Talking about bad timing, the latest album had just been finalised for release when the sad news of Klaus Schulze's passing came in... we hope it will not make the impression of exploiting this sad cause for our own purposes:

https://bernhardwoestheinrich.bandcamp.com/album/ultima-ratio

Bernhard and I have known each other for ages, and last year we decided to try and create some music in a joint effort.

Enjoy, and thanks for your ongoing support,
